Lorena Carrington is an award winning illustrator of books. Her fairy tale collection with Kate Forsyth, Vasilisa the Wise, received a silver medal in the Readers’ Favourite Book Awards, and she received the 2020 Australian Fairy Tale Society Award for her contribution to the Australian Fairy Tale. She has worked with Serenity Press (Australia) and Swan River Press (Ireland), and is also published by Kane Miller (US) and Tadam Wydawnicktwo (Poland).

Her books include Vasilisa the Wise and Other Tales of Brave Young Women, The Buried Moon and Other Tales of Bright Young Women, Snow White Rose Red and Other Tales of Kind Young Women (all with Kate Forsyth), Sightings (with Jennifer Lehmann) and Wiser Than Evening. Her collection of French Fairy Tales (with text by Sophie Masson) will be published in late 2020. 

Lorena also exhibits her artwork at commercial and public art galleries, contributes to arts and literary festivals, and has work held in Australian and International collections. She frequently tours schools with presentations and workshops.
